Color Space
A color space is defined by its color model (a way of representing colors as tuples of numbers) and its color gamut (a subset of colors which can be accurately represented). The most common color spaces used in displays are based on the RGB color model where red, green and blue light are added together to produce a color.
RGB Color Spaces
sRGB - Used in consumer computer monitors
Rec. 709 - Used in HDTVs
NTSC - Used to indicate color gamut coverage, not used in displays
Adobe RGB - Used in professional computer monitors
DCI P3 - Used in digital cinema projectors (DCI 4K and DCI 2K)
Rec. 2020 - Used in UHDTVs (4K UHD and 8K UHD)
ACES - Used in the production of movies, not used in displays
